Rolfe Homestead Committee

This committee is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Rolfe Homestead and advising the Board on matters pertaining to the use of Homestead properties.

 

Specific tasks:

  • Develop site plan for Rolfe Homestead Property (east and west) for Board approval and obtain necessary permits.
  • Obtain Special Exception for property use.
  • Develop landscaping plan for east side property.
  • Develop signage plan and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Secure listing on State Historic Register.
  • Identify and implement tasks necessary to prepare 1774 House for use.
  • Develop room and apartment rental agreements for Board approval.
  • Develop event rental contracts and fee schedule for Board approval.
  • Negotiate room and apartment rental agreements and oversee tenants in 1834 House.
  • Coordinate with other Board Committees regarding activities on Homestead property.
  • Provide budgetary needs to Finance Committee for inclusion in annual budget.
  • Maintain minutes of committee meetings.
  • Provide report to Board of Directors at each board meeting.
