Development & Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for securing funding to support the Society’s operations and activities, expanding membership, and maintaining an up-to-date membership database. 

 

Development Subcommittee

Specific duties include:

  • Plan and coordinate special events and activities to generate revenue and to increase public awareness.
  • Prepare grant proposals as appropriate.
  • Identify and obtain appropriate products for marketing.
  • Solicit donations to support events and activities.
  • Develop new revenue sources as appropriate.
  • Provide budgetary needs to Finance Committee for inclusion in annual budget.
  • Maintain minutes of committee meetings.
  • Provide report to Board of Directors at each board meeting.

 

Membership Subcommittee

Specific duties include:

·       Recommend membership dues structure for approval by Board.

·       Prepare periodic mailings to the membership.

·       Develop and implement membership drives.

·       Produce membership brochures and membership cards.

·       Determine and publicize membership benefits and incentives.

·       Provide budgetary needs to Finance Committee for inclusion in annual budget.

·       Maintain minutes of committee meetings.

·       Provide report to Board of Directors at each board meeting.
