Collections Committee

This committee is responsible for the inventory, acquisitions, and safekeeping of all collectible items in the Society’s possession.

Specific duties include:

·       Catalog all items in our possession with location, description, origin, donor, and other pertinent information.

·       Interface with Finance Committee regarding insurance coverage of Society collections.

·       Provide for adequate storage of Society collections.

·       Coordinate acquisition of new items for Society collection.

·       Coordinate documentation of Penacook history through photographs, videos, newspaper clippings, written accounts, and oral histories.

·       Develop and implement plans for exhibit of Society collections.

·       Provide budgetary needs to Finance Committee for inclusion in annual budget.

·       Maintain minutes of committee meetings.

·       Provide report to Board of Directors at each board meeting.
